Get up to £3,000 towards your business marketing
Torfaen businesses can now apply for funding to support marketing activity that helps grow their business and increase profitability.
The Torfaen Business Marketing Grant, launched by Torfaen County Borough Council and funded through the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund, offers grants between £500 and £3,000 to support eligible marketing projects.

What is the Torfaen Business Marketing Grant?
The grant is designed to help businesses based in Torfaen invest in revenue based marketing activity that supports business growth.
Funding covers 80% of eligible pre VAT marketing costs, with the business contributing the remaining 20%.
Grants are awarded on a rolling basis and the fund may close early if all available funding is allocated.
How much funding is available?
• Grants from £500 up to £3,000
• Covers 80% of pre VAT marketing spend
• Marketing activity only
• Revenue spend only
This means a £3,000 marketing project could cost your business as little as £600 plus VAT.
Who can apply?
To be eligible, your business must:
• Be located in Torfaen
• Be applying for marketing activity that supports growth
• Be able to submit a short business plan explaining how the marketing will help increase sales, visibility, or profitability.
What can the grant be used for?
The grant can support a wide range of marketing activity, that could include*:
• Website design or website improvements
• Branding or rebranding projects
• Search engine optimisation SEO
• Social media marketing campaigns
• Paid advertising campaigns
• Marketing strategy and planning
• Photography, video, or digital content
• Printed marketing materials
All activity must clearly support your business growth plans.
What is not eligible?
The following are not eligible for funding:
• Projects started before the award letter
• Items purchased before the award letter
• Deposits or commitments made before approval
• Cash purchases or finance agreements
• Capital items such as laptops, phones, machinery
• Salaries, running costs, stock, or maintenance
• Non marketing activity
• Businesses located outside Torfaen

Key dates you need to know
• Applications open: Monday 15 December
• Final application deadline: Midday Friday 30 January
• Applications reviewed weekly
• Grant window may close early if funds are fully allocated
• Final claim deadline: Midday Friday 13 February 2026
• All funded items must be purchased and received by this date
