A complete refresh of marketing collateral and promotional items to help introduce GCU to prospective new customers.
Gateway Credit Union is a long-established loans and savings co-operative for Torfaen and Monmouthshire that has provided many local customers opportunities to save or apply for cost-effective loans.
The organisation approached us wanting a fresh input into the design of all of their marketing materials, that ranges from application forms to membership cards and pull-up banners to window posters.
The current marketing material that was being used to promote the organisation felt a little dated and had no consistency, so the first action for us was to create a brand ‘spec sheet’ that denoted what colours, fonts and layouts were to be applied for the new marketing materials.
This would also help promote the organisation to a new, younger audience that may not have taken an interest previously, and as part of our services we helped create new tag lines and calls to action for some of the marketing content.

The Outcome
Modernising Gateway Credit Union’s approach to marketing with a new suite of advertising products.
Leaflets
We designed and sourced the printing for a range of new promotional leaflets and flyers that promoted various options for savings accounts and different types of loan options.
Membership Cards
The existing membership cards that are issued to members are quite basic and not very inspiring, so we designed a new, modern looking card that would stand out in anyone’s purse or wallet.
Posters and A boards
As GCU has a high-street presence, it was important that we created a series of internal posters that could be displayed in the windows and would help build awareness of the services on offer when people are walking past. These series of images were also repurposed into foamex boards that were used as internal graphics on walls, as well as pull-up banners that can be used in different locations as and when required.
